A Brilliant Take on a Classic Style
A brilliant diamond, a modern design, and a Christmas proposal.
In today’s installation of the Design Series, follow along as we help a client design an exceptional Pave Solitaire engagement ring.
This client originally contacted Ada with an inquiry about our Channel Setting. He wanted to propose for Christmas, and was considering round brilliant lab grown diamonds between and 1 and 1.5 carats. He provided his Concierge with a photo he’d found on his future fianceé’s Pinterest board.
After a discovery call with his Concierge, the client narrowed the search to G and H color diamonds between 1.34-1.50ct. After reviewing a curated list of diamonds from his Concierge, the search narrowed down to a 1.39 G VS1 and a 1.41 H VS2 and the client requested videos to choose between the two. To help him decide, the Concierge shot many videos of the loose diamonds both in a light box and on her hand in a variety of everyday lighting scenarios to help give a real life feel for what the diamonds. Our Concierge team prides themselves on helping clients feel absolutely comfortable with the stones they are choosing!
it was a tough decision, but the client ended up going with the larger of the two diamonds. From there it was time to finalize the design. The client requested renderings with two different sized bands in a Cathedral Pave setting.
After reviewing the initial designs, the client decided to go with the daintier band and preferred a traditional four prong over the lifted cathedral design that was similar to what he'd found online.
Ada’s design team changed the file and sent over revised renderings.
The client's ring was ready to ship 8 days after final design approval and delivered in time for Christmas When the client received the ring, his response was:
“IT'S HERE IT'S HERE!! AND IT LOOKS AMAZING! THANK YOU SO MUCH!”
We have to agree. This ring is stunning!
After the client's ring received rave reviews on social media, we actually added it to our Bridal Collection, and have since made it for other clients (their blog posts coming soon!)
