Introducing the 4 'C's
The cut of the diamond is a measure of the quality of the shape, geometry, and finish of a diamond gemstone and are graded on a scale from Ideal (the best) to Poor. Ada's gem-cutting partners ensure that our diamonds have optimal brightness, fire, scintillation, and maximum light performance.
The color of a diamond is graded on a range of letters from D to Z. Ada only sells stones are that are independently graded as D, E, F, G, or H and refuses to sell any diamonds that are I or worse color. Ada is also happy to work with fancy-colored lab grown diamonds in blue, pink, yellow, gray, and black.
Clarity is a measurement of how many inclusions are present in the diamond. Clarity is graded on a range from Flawless to Imperfect; the lower the clarity of a diamond, the more imperfections in the diamond. Ada only sells diamonds that are SI1 (no includes visible to the naked eye) or better.
The carat weight of a diamond is a measurement of its weight. When a diamond is properly cut, the carat weight defines the size of the diamond, and larger diamonds tend to be more expensive. Ada Diamonds offers lab grown diamonds as small as 0.01ct to over 5ct in a variety of shapes.
A diamond shape is a true expression of your personal style. Rounds are the most popular shape!
Here at Ada Diamonds, all of our diamonds available for sale above 0.50ct are graded and certified by third party gemological organizations such as IGI, GIA, or GCAL. Independent certification by a third party is the best way to guarantee an un-biased grading of your laboratory grown diamond and allow for you to get your lab diamond jewelry appraised and insured.
Lab Diamond Pricing
We often get asked: are lab diamonds less expensive than mined diamonds? The answer is yes! Generally speaking, lab created diamonds are 30-40% less expensive than equivalent quality natural diamonds. For example, Ada will sell a 1ct white round brilliant for anywhere from $3,500 (near-colorless, slightly included) to $10,500 USD (perfect color, flawless). Learn more about lab diamond pricing.
